Everyone should watch this! Great cast acting everything!!! Available on Amazon Prime I am watching on Live TV 5STAR. Its as good today as years ago. A pyscho nanny and a dutiful wife who just wants to live her ideal family life with her husband. Things go from bad to worse once Mrs Mott steps into town and into her house. Marlene is the savvy switched on one highly intelligent and she knows what's going on. When Mott she casually eats that apple!!! Its revenge, Sexual teasing, pscho madness and revenge in large doses. Brilliant film. Great plot, acting, script and a slow burner but really heats up!!

I saw this at Curzon Oxford. At first glance I thought nah. Then on reflection I thought I'd give it a whirl. It's very thought provoking with the destitute very poor family. Then of course you have the wealthy elite with the very modernist huge house where everything is perfect and the spoilt wife lives in a bubble. It's funny, brutal shows the class divide and it has murder and it's very funny in parts. A must see and best film I've seen in a while.

Absolutely stunning cinematography. The opening scene is of a Gotham City like urban landscape. A lot of the film is shot in miserable rainy dark weather. It may remind you of Taxi Driver from the 70's. Arthur Fleck is the maniacal, loner outcast who sometimes fantasies about his attractive neighbour in his block and dreams up that he kisses her passionately. Although I strongly suspect this was all in his mind. When his therapist asks him if today did he have negative thoughts he replies dismissively that he only ever has negative thoughts. Darkly creepy, this film will have you on the edge of your seat. Phoenix is almost too good and too believable in his character portrayal. An Oscar awaits.
