Lavish and with style, with great songs and suspense. Not 100% accurate of the black and white original movie, true. But for an opera it is about the only one I would buy tickets for. Was a joy to show it to my wife 14 years after it's release and be shocked that Gerald Butler was the Opera Ghost.
