This movie is such an important and essential movie for every woman that has grown up with male superheroes. It shows that women can be heroes too. It shows how strong and capable women are. It shows that if a woman can be one of the strongest people in the universe that we can be strong too. However, because it’s a woman-centered film that empowers and accentuates their powers and capabilities as well as their independence, it’s not being hyped up as much as the other superhero movies (just like Wonder Woman in DC...) and Brie Larson is being attacked and hated on by men with fragile masculinity. And now because she has responded to the amount of hate she has gotten from men ( caucasians especially) the movie is being ignored and the ratings are being sabotaged. This makes me so angry as a woman who is so sick of seeing women as weak and incapable of defending themselves in such movies. This is a very important movie for us women and we need to support it as much as possible.
