Magnificent. It blows my mind that a person was able to come up with a story line as enticing as this one. By far Cassandra Clare's best work. I stayed up all night reading it and only stopped when the kindle shut down (proof of just how interesting the book is).
The story has about 4 important characters and 8 other minor, but almost as important, characters. All of these 12 characters have their own backgrounds and their own stories to tell. But the beauty of the book lies in the way all the stories connect in the end.
Love is the central concept of the book. And it couldn't be more beautifully portrayed. The relationships between husband and wife, brother and sister, parabatai, and friends is shown so profoundly that the readers too, face immense pain when the characters are separated from their loved ones.
I would suggest this book to anyone who enjoys fantasy and fiction. Although, teenagers would enjoy it more than adults
