Perceval X – Google

The positive first. This movie is beautiful. The camera work and pictures is quite nice. Artsy movie. If that your thing, 4 stars but for the rest of the average Joe.... Let's go straight to the point, there is no action at all. Well, almost nothing... Yup an Arthurian tale with virtually no action. Lots of long scenes. If you are tired, you will fall asleep. If you are awake, you will be put to the test and will use all your will power to fight boredom. So why did I watch it until the end? Because the ending does pick up the momentum. But again I was dissappointted. Bottom line, this movie is nothing like Excalibur. Almost 50 years now and Excalibur has established itself the standard where no one come near. To credit of the Director, they did try something new but sadly it fall short for me.

This movie is a gem. If you watch it with an open mind without thinking of prior Lucas films, this movie is simply superb. My favorite feel good movie of all time. Watching it now as an adult, I realize how Sorsha is so beautiful. Without fairy dust, I fell in love with this character. Madmartigan is simply charming and funny. And Willow is the epiphony of the best dad in the world. His children and Elora Danan are so sweet and cute. The courage to overcome the greatest fear comes from the love you have for the little ones....
