Well, where do I start?
After watching (and often enduring) Salo, I came away from this movie (if you can call it that) feeling an abundance of different feelings all rolled into one.
I felt sad, disgusted, lost, angry, hopeless and horrified.
Some of the scenes in Salo will stay with me forever.
However, if one can see past the grotesque and evil acts committed upon the hopeless young teens in this movie, the overpowering political meaning shines through like a torch in a pitch black room.
Salo shows just how vile the human race can be, and still is.
Put it this way, it helps you appreciate what's good about society (and there isn't much anymore) more than you have, or ever will.
In short, Salo is something I'm glad I watched, but hope to never see again.
Watch at your peril, and if you're easily grossed out..... swerve it like the plague.
