I only got through 4 episodes and stopped watching. Its horribly choppy with the timeline which could make it possibly hard for someone to watch who's not familiar with the novel. Tons of character backstory and archs are left out. At times it feels some of the story was left out due to laziness rather than time constraints.
What baffles me is the need to tell this story in a mini series. I understand at 1250 pages the novel is...alot. However the book reads in 3 parts. Why can't a 3 part film deal a la The Hobbit be made? There's definitely enough source material there.
Save yourself 9 hours and skip the mini series. Unless not really understanding characters and choppy timeliness are your thing. No judgement
