Similar to Game of Thrones in tone, minus dragons and magic. Uhtred is a very fun character to follow (not to mention a beautiful man!,) and somehow makes it out of every battle. The cinematography is beautiful, the costumes are on point, the actors are fantastic, and the best aspect of the series is the loyalty among tribes and especially to Uhtred. I binged the entire series quite quickly, and am ready for more! Highly recommend, especially if you like viking-type series.

The Bridge is a taut, psychological suspenseful drama with fresh characters. The American cop in charge has Asperger's, which another reviewer described as "annoying" rather than understanding that people are different and there's a reason she responded in the ways she did. (That reviewer was probably a bully in school.) The actors, director, editing and music was stellar. I highly recommend this series, too short lived, probably due to lack of advertising.
