This movie was not aimed at people who were aware of the original Valley Girl. There are a lot of the songs that the writers of those 80s tracks are being introduced to a new generation. Fans of those eighties bands and power pop should support the idea that those artists are having a payday which is well deserved! The soundtrack is different and authentic in it's passion. I agree that the film itself is for children, but so what. Download the original track, watch the original Valley Girl if 2020 disturbs you. #FilmCritics It was amazing!
