Awesome Now that Wonder Woman 1984 has finally been released, Gal Gadot is opening up about the back surgery that she needed as a result of filming 2017's Wonder Woman. Gadot first stepped into the superheroine’s shoes for 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and now has 2017’s Justice League and two standalone Wonder Woman films under her belt. Following multiple delays due to the coronavirus pandemic, Wonder Woman 1984 is now playing in theaters and streaming on HBO Max. The film has premiered to mixed reviews, and though it was initially certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, it has since lost that status. The film picks up Diana’s narrative in 1984 of course, several decades after the setting of Wonder Woman, and follows her mission to take down Maxwell Lord, a maniacal businessman played by Pedro Pascal.
