the story is amazing and very complete. No irrelevant subplots to lengthen the show and make the story convoluted. Recommended to watch for both beginners and long-time kdrama watchers. I rated it 4 instead of 5 because the acting of Jin's actress wasn't very convincing. I don't know if the character was written to be that way, but her facial expressions look so repetitive and static. Even her crying scenes were a bit awkward. Literally everyone else's acting in this show was good except for her.

NOT RECOMMENDED if you hate annoying characters. There were a lot of good reviews so I decided to try, but I can't even get through episode 1. It was a real torture to watch, especially because of Kim Hye Yoon who exaggerates her duck voice and her annoying acting. This is the third drama where I can't stand her acting. I first saw her in sky castle, then secret royal inspector. I could tolerate her irritating act in secret inspector just because Taecyeon and the other actors are superb. But for Extraordinary You, the other actors are also lackluster. The plot is boring too.

Very overrated. The only reason I endured to watch this is because of JCW and Ms. Jo. PMY was okay to watch at first, but she just became super annoying and a damsel-in-distress. Her character is shown to be a cool undercover spy-like reporter at first, but then she became so gullible midway and ventures into enemy territory happily then just gets saved by Healer at the end. Not to mention they introduced her PTSD that she never overcame, which is contradictory because she is a reporter who's supposed to see violence regularly?? that was so random I watched from episode 1-20 though I skipped through the overly cheesy, dragged out romance scenes, because there were plot points that I wanted to see the conclusion to. There were a lot of loose ends, they tried to cram everything in the last half of the last episode. I didn't even see a lot of endings and explanations I was expecting. Total disappointment and a waste of time to watch
