At the age of 5, it was the book that helped me to learn to read. But like Tindale and other early translators of the bible into the language of the day the established Religious authorities hated it, that now the people no longer needed to depend on their priests or pastors to tell them what God commanded of his followers, for now even a child could read and understand God's words clearly. Thankfully they no longer burn such translators at the stake as Church leaders did just a few generations ago.
