One of the worst books I've read. Talk about confusing. Book 2 is better and Book 3 kind of ties things together - "kind of". I do not recommend at all. Only because I purchased all three did I continue. Had I just bought The Dreaming Void without the other two books, I would have tossed the first book. Half way through Book 3 and I still don't totally know what's going on. Buy the "Donovan" series by Gear instead - there are 5 total books in that series
