I didn't read the book. My girlfriends and I watched the show, and we all hated the ending. The storyline is terrible and totally biased. So everything a poor person does is justifiable and Mia and Bebe get away , while everything the White rich person does (Elena and Linda) has bad intent and punishable!!!!??? Elena may not be a perfect mom, but she sure does not deserve the treatment from her ungrateful children. The show starts off with some mystery, and then all characters become angry and selfish, and ends with extreme bias. Bad screen writing.
