Once again, a Moore film has made me hopelessly uncomfortable. Like someone telling you that you are too old to wear those pants. The truth in this case is so stark and painful you almost ask ‘why show me this?’ But thats what being a grownup is. You don’t get to look away. It’s your responsibility.

I’ve seen and enjoyed every type and budget of sci fi flick from the original ‘invasion of the the body snatchers’ and ‘the ‘thing’ to the modern versions of those films and the techno shockers ‘Alien’ and ‘arrival’ and ‘last days on Mars’. There is only one flic that comes close, and that is Soderberg’s ‘Solaris’. The sound track, the innocence of acting, the camera work, and set and costume design are as near perfect as anyone could get. If I could make a movie, any kind of movie, this is what I’d make.
