I’ve seen and enjoyed every type and budget of sci fi flick from the original ‘invasion of the the body snatchers’ and ‘the ‘thing’ to the modern versions of those films and the techno shockers ‘Alien’ and ‘arrival’ and ‘last days on Mars’. There is only one flic that comes close, and that is Soderberg’s ‘Solaris’. The sound track, the innocence of acting, the camera work, and set and costume design are as near perfect as anyone could get. If I could make a movie, any kind of movie, this is what I’d make.
