A must listen for any Offspring or 2000's Rock fan with the first 4 tracks being by far the best. Hammerhead sounds like they mashed 2 really good songs into one, with the rif and melody drastically changing in the middle, but its still one the best songs on the album. "Kristy, Are You Doing Okay?" does take a detour into the melodramatic and "A Lot Like Me" is a weak follow up to Hammerhead but "Nothingtown" and more so "Takes Me Nowhere" defiantly gets back on track. "Stuff Is Messed Up" is a definite skip with a weak/predictable message about politics and society. It also had a pretty bad hook and a weird video which really put me off to the entire song. I will say that it predicted Donald Trump becoming the president long anyone else did which is strange when looking back at the video. "Fix You" should have been the last song as its one of the slowest songs in the album but is placed 2 spots before "Rise and Fall" which is one of the catchier and louder songs on the album, which it self could get repetitive after listening to it a multiple times in a row. "The O.C Life" has the weakest production value (it was a bonus track for the Japan only version of the album) but it still has good guitar work and a catchy enough hook to where you'll forgive it. Over all, a solid 7/10 with the first 4 songs being a must listens and really the best songs on the entire album by far. "Kristy, Are You Doing Okay?","Stuff Is Messed Up" and "Fix You" are songs which you could skip and the rest range from being o.k to good if not weak to multiple, consistent listens and a bit forgettable.
