Captivates you to the end. Great twists and respects the audience's intellectual capability. One of the better movies of 2022.

I know the trolls won’t like it as Deepika and Naseer, two individuals besides being actors have takes stands which go against some popular beliefs, currently. But, I should just be rating the actors and not individuals. I believe this is the best that I have seen Deepika act. It’s her strongest performance. She steals the show. Rest of the actors are good as well. Shakun Batra, has directed one of the gems, completely engrossing, and I guess that’s the litmus for any director. So much elan and flawless direction. To all who see this review - it’s one of the unmissable Bollywood movies. Don’t fall for the popular narrative, which is not analysing the movie’s characteristics but deriding individual actors, who have taken some stands on issues in the past. Let’s only Analyze them as actors and review their performances.

A gem that tells the story of life :-)

Gem of a movie. Randeep is living the character. The story is so effortlessly put forward. Will captivate you throughout. A must watch.

Wow, real cinema at its best. Nawazuddin, is one of the finest actors that we have in India. This one really shines for the acting by the protagonist and the girl (Shweta Tripathi). Watch it for the scene between her and her father’s love interest, when she asks for a ‘Hug’. It’s a surreal moment, a great lesson on how to parent adolescents.

Barring last 20 minutes, this movie is a dud. Although Akshay’s performance is good, but the direction is very week. It looks like the team wanted to cash in on current wave of nationalist fervour. Quick silver without much of rigor. It’s a bit dissapointing as the movie doesn’t keep you captivated. The first half before interval is boring.
