I had to force myself to finish reading this book. I felt it was very contrived, flat, and though I hate to say it, “dumb.“ I could not relate to any of the characters and found them to be quite annoying. The interviews with the police were beyond the pale. Tying everything up so neatly at the end was something I just don’t care for as well. One of my least favorite books.

Oh my goodness - I can’t stop watching this. Marcella is a very complicated individual with definite flaws (human!) and she’s a brilliant detective. The twists and turns are awesome. Very dark - not usually my style. Just completed season 2. Wow!!!
