Sea of Thieves is all about single-session fun with friends. Its lack of character progression or development means it's easy to put down, and the constant risk of losing everything because of a bad run or silly mistake may mean frequent rage-quitting, but since you lose everything at the end of a session anyway it's easy to pick back up. Not a game you're likely to get addicted to, but a nice, chill way to enjoy a day out at sea.
