this tv show is technically only meant for one season in my eyes. this doesn’t make that the rest of the seasons are bad, it just doesn’t have the same purpose as it did when it originally came out. ever since season 3 it was lost the message behind it. originally the show was specifically based around suicide and hannah bakers death and how everyone had to grieve with it, and we’ll season 3 and 4 had nothing really to do with suicide what so ever. season 2 should’ve really been the last season for the show and let me tell you why: as i said before, 13 reasons why was originally meant around suicide and how hannah baker had passed and her coming out the the tapes and clay having to understand what he did wrong and why and how he had the tapes. and a lot of other stuff had happened such as rape, drugs, drunk driving, etc. but season 3 came out and it had me asking all of the questions about the show that i never had in the first 2 seasons. when season 3 came out basically everyone at this point had forgotten about hannah and she started to become irrelevant. ani came in the picture, (which i honestly didn’t mind it just really threw me off because she cane in the picture so fast and everyone was still getting over hannah’s death), and things started to change really fast and the show just isn’t what it was anymore. if they had ani not as much as they did in the picture and would still talk about hannah but also still have happen what happened( if you know you know) but they started to pull things so far out of left field that it was just really confusing. and if your asking yourself why and what would they do with hannah and what would they do and there’s no reason for her to be in it, then your proving exactly why i think this show was meant for 2 seasons, probably just 1, and it’s not a horrible show it’s very entertaining and i would def recommend but it just had lost its purpose and didn’t really have a “13 reasons why” vibe to it, more of like “murder mystery” type kind of show. i recommend but it’s just not the same.
