Stephanie Howell

Without spoilers, the better and more complex story is about Ken. Barbie and all of the things connecting was very heavy handed, which I expected, but it seemed Mattel may have had too much of a hand in the script and it felt like a film more impactful for any cis straight men who came to the movie with there girlfriend and than any true Barbie fans. I also feel like the advertising led me to believe it would be a more thought provoking conversation than it was. Mostly fluff, but definitely fun and the costuming/architecture is amazing.
