I really didn't think that this movie was all it was cracked up to be. In all honesty, it didn't really have a lot of depth. Besides, I think that the racism present in the movie was maybe just a little overstated. Maybe I'm wrong. However, Africans were not always the slaves of the world. During earlier times in history, they weren't, and even in the 1800's, not all Africans were enslaved by Europeans, which really misrepresented Europe. The only way the Europeans actually had slaves from Africa was that more technologically advanced tribes already had slaves and would trade them to Europeans for precious metals and other materials like guns. That was just a historical point that the Wakandans screwed up in the movie. Besides, from what I can tell, Wakanda is pretty inland in Africa, so the slavers they would have seen would have been Africans and slavers from Egypt and the middle east. Sorry I went on a rant there, but I felt that was a big point that was misrepresented, especially considering that by the time the people of Wakanda actually had contact with the outside world, countries in Europe, and the U.S. no longer had slaves, and therefore Wakanda would have had no way to actually see other Blacks being "suppressed". In all, I thought that the history was inaccurate, as I'm sure all who are reading this can tell. On another note, I'm not just a white supremacist who thinks that this movie is bad for the social critiques of the west. I think it was fine to show how there is still some social inequality, I just personally thought they pushed those ideas too far in to your head without thought for how the actual movie played out. This made the movie and characters bland. The fights were well choreographed, and other than the plot, the movie was interesting with cool fights and a cool representation of Ancient African tribal society, but with a ton of cool tech involved. Really just some problems with how the Wakandans all seem to view the rest of the modern world, and the lack of a good plot, but I still love marvel overall and think that overall this did a very good job of adding to the Marvel lore
