Missed opportunity. Story is not well told, uninteresting dialogue which explains little about who Marley was, what motivated him, and why his life made a difference. This movie is dull and unimaginative, which is a tragedy, considering the rich and multifaceted subject.

Witty and sharp and multi-faceted and smart. Lots of insightful things to say, and highly entertaining. Must see.

Tedious and meandering, in search of a story and a reason for anything that occurs. Confusing and pointless. A great cast wasted. Worst of all, often this film is simply boring.

Formulaic, with stereotypes abound. Women are depicted as irrational, hysterical, weak. Poor writing, mediocre performances. Predictable and lacking cleverness and creativity. Thumbs down.
