Well-crafted story of how the classes in 1830's England dealt with the hardships of life. This is a "love story" of another kind, how can a young girl, having been raped, have feelings toward her rapist? This story was compelling because of our knowing that bad choices are always lurking in our lives, especially when we are destitute and vulnerable. It does a person good to see what hardships can be faced and overcome when you just "never give up"! I recommend this movie for those in need of a reason "to hope"!
