For those who love Marvel characters and wait an entire year for a new release, I'd say this has been a mind-boggling TV show. In other Marvel movies, Wanda Maximoff had been portrayed as an unprotected and helpless orphan who gained her powers through some nefarious scientific researches of a secret organization. Her brother, Pietro(known as Quicksilver)who also had superpowers of sonic speed was killed in the movie Age of Ultron. Wanda lost the love of her life -Vision, in the last scene of Avengers Infinity War, where fifty percent of living beings on the earth were wiped out being outraged by the exasperation of the ultimate Marvel villain Thanos, who planned on becoming the most powerful and invincible entity in the universe.
In this series, while grieving and searching for her dead husband's body, Wanda discovered that he was being vivisected in a high-tech secret facility in the country that refused to hand over his remains for a 3 billion dollar project. Dipping in resentment and sorrow Wanda then cast her power and created an illusory world in the middle of a town named Westview. The town was filled with chimeric people who did not know about their past. Wanda found her husband, 2 kids of her own, and a beautiful suburban life that she always dreamed of. Whereas, outside the city, the virtuoso agents of S.W.O.R.D were stationed and trying to tear down her mythical and phoney family life. The first two episodes of the series were inexplicit and hazy but from the third episode, the show manifested its true mystique. The incorporation of the mischievous character Agatha who has been an odious witch herself added a new facet in the trademark of the Marvel series.
Overall, this show is a perfect embodiment of an impeccable storyline, hilarious conversations, deep and meaningful plot seemingly interwoven into one another. Can't wait for season 2 to come out!!
