Combat was basically the same as the previous game (If not a little easier wrt the infected), they seem to have lost their vision with the "nature taking over the world" art style they pioneered in the first game, there wasn't much in change of scenery (rainy run Seattle for almost the entire game), there were quite a few glitches, the storyline was fractured and by the middle of the game we all knew what would happen, but the biggest fault the game had were the characters.
I didn't care what happened to any of them. The first game was a noble singularly minded hero's quest, one that built a relationship that ultimately overwhelmed me emotionally. This game is just multiple characters making progressively worse and worse decisions with no payoff. At the end of the game I truly hoped the main characters simultaneously killed each other as that would be a fitting end. I have so many more complaints to this than what is listed, especially for a game I've waited this long for but it boils down to this. LoU1 was about story where I cared for everyone; in LoU2 I had more emotional attachment to the AI than I did most of the cast.
