Welles pulls off another misunderstood masterpiece, forty years behind schedule, millions over budget, and edited from beyond the grave. Laden with recursive cinematic allegory and prophetically shot as if everyone had a camera (oh wait - we all do now, don’t we?). Must be re-watched to be appreciated.

Quirky, complex, obtuse, audacious, and full of love. Michelle Pfeiffer has never been better. Must be seen at least twice to be understood. A budding cult favorite in search of volunteer cultists that you will either hold near and dear or fully eschew.

Painstakingly recreates 1960s Hollywood and wraps a fantasy tale around one of America’s most infamous murders to create an alternate history in which ...”they lived happily ever after”. Brad Pitt is at the top of his game and performances by DiCaprio, Robbie, and Russell are equally strong. Even Al Pacino gets in on the fun, cheap wig and all. Slow burn movie with over the top, cathartic climax. Worth seeing more than once. Special bonus for LA raised “Fright Night” Fringies, a group Tarantino is clearly familiar with.

The cast have grown and so have the storylines. Bring your best Eighties memories and be ready to binge, binge, binge.
