For film noir fans, games like Blacksad come along once in a decade.
The last one had LA Noire, and this time, we got Blacksad.
While LA Noire was a bigger game, with multiple cases, Blacksad is an equally satisfying, albeit shorter, experience. The graphics and animation are superb, really immersive and grimy, the soundtrack is pure jazz bourbon and the voiceovers are (mostly) up to par, with Blacksad's character being the best.
The anamorphic theme of the subject matter adds another zany element to the experience, and one you'll appreciate even more if you've read the comics (and if you haven't, read them!).
And keep an eye out for Backbone if you enjoyed film noir adventure/puzzle games.
