I have read many books, mainly novels of reputable authors, since the age of 5. I estimate approx. 1000 books which, I know, is not THAT many (sure heavy readers/scholars have done far more), but can say without any doubt/hesitation that Jesus The Christ is the best book I have ever read by far. The footnotes are a read or, an education on their own. The writer, also a true apostle of the Lord, writes as if he was actually present at the time himself and all of the incidents/happenings are captured with such a degree or, essence, of authenticity that makes one wonder if, perhaps, he was? I can recommend this marvelous work to any who would want to know more about our Savior's life and develop a closer/stronger relationship with Him.I read it first about fifteen years ago and, upon completion, then immediately read it again, this time paying a lot closer attention to the deeper meaning as well as to the footnotes which, as I said, are a read on their own. Enjoy.
