Playing in Oct 2022 so I assume most of the glitches and terrible things that got the game tanked in the first place are mostly resolved now - it still feels like a really basic RPG from 15 - 20 years ago with a Bladerunner skin over the top. The world feels empty, there are almost no NPCs to interact with - just a stock sentence when interacting with any passerby. The combat is basic which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but makes you wonder why we're in a hyper-futuristic dytopian wonderland and still crouched with a pistol shooting at enemy heads behind cover.
Other aspects like hacking and mods are so overcomplicated to the point where you just shoot your way through with a high DPS and armour rating instead of utilising what the game wants you to.
I've been playing for hours and still have very little idea why I'm doing what I'm doing, as the story, lore, slang and background of the Cyberpunk world is so opaque with no exposition beyond the scraps of written lore material you find around. You just kind of sprint to the objective marker, have a conversation with a mission-relevant NPC that you don't fully understand, then sprint to the next objective marker to collect/shoot something.
Will probably sack this off - too complicated and not fun enough.
