Bonnie Frick

This film is something special that my mom and I enjoy and love to watch together. I remember the initial advertisements and marketing for the film being scarce and a little confusing, but the movie as a whole is fantastic and sticks with me almost 5 years later. Its depth and complexity is beautiful and understated. It has all the makings and pieces of a blockbuster, shoot-em-up movie, but it takes itself and the audience seriously, taking time with complex characters and interesting relationships. I think that the lack of romantic love interest in this movie is very refreshing and truly matches the characterization of our lead. Instead, the relationships that are formed throughout the movie seem very unique and genuine. The movie is a truly unique and interesting journey. It's the action movie for someone who wants more out of their action movies. Most importantly, it makes me feel good and I really recommend it.
