Really enjoyed this anime as it gets a lot of things right. Firstly, it’s a sci-fi that doesn’t focus too much on the science, although most of it makes sense and engages you, but has an even stronger emotional component, which I think is lacking in a lot of sci-fi. Plot points and pacing pretty good. The beginning is a little slow, but enjoyable as you get accustomed to the slightly odd characters. But it quickly picks up pace and gets pretty intense. I think it’s strength is the emotional impact on the viewer. It does a really good job of creating a dark atmosphere and immerses the viewer. Also the opening theme fits so well and it gets really catchy after listening a couple times. Don’t want to hype too much, but one of the best anime I watched so far and not enough people know about it.
