As a recent college grad (English and Education major) and now a full-time English teacher, I have not read for pleasure in years! Ninth House is the first book I have read for my own enjoyment and WOW am I glad I got my hands on this book! Adult fantasy, murder mystery, dark academia, and humor are all woven so well into the plot of this book. The story flowed and I could not put this book down. Twists and turns until the very end. Most stories are just retellings of an already existing one, but Ninth House does an amazing job of keeping you guessing and no one can predict the twist and turns in the final chapters. Cannot wait for the sequel in 2023! More please Leigh Bardugo!
