As far as it feeling like a Resident Evil game, that is where I think they dropped the ball. The story feels very supernatural throughout 90% of the game and I feel like this could have been a better under a different banner. It feels like Capcom is running into an identity crisis like it did with RE5 and RE6 due to the result of RE4. With RE7 getting a lot of attention and praise by critics, Capcom is treading dangerous waters to move further and further away on what their key audience wants: a survival-horror that follows man made viruses and small-scale stories.
