This was a beautifully written and filmed movie set across Iceland, London and Japan. A tale of love lost at a young age and when faced with a health crisis decides to track down his lost love. There is so much more within this movie. Highly recommend you see for yourself.

An eye-opening and inspiring story. Interesting to see the hypocrisy surrounding what government agencies define as "abuse" and the obstacles you have to face to get any support at a time when you are already traumatised. I feel, whoever watches Maid, will want to be with Alex on her journey to triumph not only escaping an abusive relationship, but also an extended family struggling with their own issues.
