This fourth installment is an almost complete flop. Unnecessary flashbacks, incohesive plot progression, a neutered protagonist, poor editing, convoluted fight scenes involving too many individuals, and gross sentimentality. The film took at least an hour too long to really get started, rehashing old plot points from the original trilogy. I very sincerely wish that they had not tainted the legacy of the original films.
