Hi Ellen!
We love your show! Today you had Brad Pitt on and spoke about his new movie that my boyfriend and I are dying to see! I have a little story for you.....my boyfriend and I tried seeing Once upon a time in Hollywood on Tuesday and we were rejected due to having our 3 month old with us at a Regal theater in Carlsbad, CA. The manager explained it as, infant to 6 years old can’t watch rated R movies because it’s the MPAA law and inappropriate for our newborn. This wasn’t our first time going to the movies or this specific movie theater with our infant either. Let me add too, we only go during her nap time, it was early morning and she’s a good baby! It’s how we “date!”
It’s funny though, when you look up the MPAA law it says:
The standard age set for Rated-R films by MPAA is 17 and up, but if they’re accompanied by a parent or guardian, a child of any age is permitted into the theater.
We would love your opinion!
Thank you 😊
