Dynamic characters that evolve at a realistic pace based on the dramatic events postured through the intelligently-developed plot. What’s more, the show unapologetically takes place in a Canadian city; and unlike other Canadian series, it doesn’t gratuitously nod to it’s northern setting with unsophisticated clues, and in the same breath, it’s not attempting to vaguely take place in an American city in the way that Vancouver has been pretending to be Seattle for decades. Wonderful LGBTQIA+ and indigenous representation that features these characters problems as ‘human’ problems and not solely issues based on marginalization.
