As a mother there was so much to relate to about Molly and her children. I have never seen quite so realistic a portrayal of motherhood portrayed in literature. The children are characters in themselves, rather than props and Molly’s need to protect them resonates deeply. Moll, the parallel universe version of Molly who has lost everything, is a terrifying adversary, as Molly knows she would do anything to protect her children, even murder a parallel version of herself.
