Totally disappointed. Loved Zoya Akhtar's other movies. This one was totally lame. Lacking humor, focused purely on the exoticisation, disjointed dialogue and scenes, there is too much happening in this movie. The main story itself is very lame. There is almost no struggle as the students win the battle against Mr Lodge easily. The Anglo Indian aesthetic gets tiring very fast even though I have known many Anglo Indians. Characters are not interesting nor funny. Reggie is more likeable tha Archie. Too much focus on costumes and the visual effect than the the story and characters. And the most annoying thing is that this is is hardly similar to the comics, which would have been fine on its own but then why call it the Archies...the saving grace are some of the songs.

Movie is gripping enough and creepy throughout, maintaining a sense of thrill throughout without jump scares or cheap tricks. It doesn't try to explain too much, things are always happening with no distractions or unnecessary prolonged movements. Truly a horror movie worthy of the Instagram era - the greatest online fear we all have is to lose our online identity, which is well exploited with a hint of horror in this must watch movie.

The show depicts one of the worst yet unknown killers through the eyes of an obsessive true crime writer called Michelle McNamara. Now a lot of credit goes to Michelle for getting more attention to this unsolved case and also for making some educated guesses that are just plain genius. As a show this can get tedious to watch. It is more about Michelle than the killer. You are forced to watch excruciatingly long drawn monologues of family members and friends of Michelle going over her prescription abuse and personal issues. This could have been a couple of episodes shorter if they cut out or edited some of this.
