Nancy drew is an iconic strong female character that girls have looked up to for ages. This is not that character. The people who made this movie took too many liberties. Hannah was turned into an aunt who gripes at Carson instead of a positive maternal role model for motherless Nancy. Bess was turned into an insecure and pathetic caricature of teenage girls who care too much what other people think instead of the bubbly, happy go lucky Bess everyone knows and loves. This movie simply sucks as a Nancy Drew movie and would have been average at best had they not attached her name to it.
