Snake Pliskin

It’s a very brilliant book. I had just read “Until the Eyes Close” and the comparison of a young man drafted into service in Workd War 2 versus a patriotic young man that thrived during The Great War was interesting. The only issue I had was that he really makes the English or any enemy they faced for that matter sound like complete idiots and cowardly where as the Germans as brave and never backing down. Even in the chapter where the English we’re turning the tide. The book was published during the rise of Hitler so I can see why it might have been written in this way. Either way I highly recommend it.
