I have watched this movie three times and I should say that it's one of my favourites. Just my two cents, if you're not a Christian, you may replace the Bible with any book you like that teaches righteousness. Some of the Christian leaders use the bible to manipulate people just for money or power. Using money collected from the people for their own purpose, take for example buying luxurious things As a matter of fact, memorizing the entire Bible does not make you a righteous man. Living the word of God through ACTION and not by WORDS, does make you one.  It's a law of attraction. If you do good, then good things will come to you. Eli is a righteous man, and despite all the circumtances he'd been through, still he's been protected all the time. Carnegie on the other hand, had a lot of bad karma at the end of the story.
