Fantastic and fresh entry into horror. While the film seems to rely on hyperbole in the characters treatment of Sara to blur this line between who is"right" and "wrong" this is actually used well to bring the audience into her state of mind letting us better understand the motivations behind her actions. The lack of complete resolution at the end let's the audience decide what her fate should be.

3.5/5 but im rounding up because I love a good zombie romp. There were a lot of good pieces but it never fully came together in the end. I'm not sure what was missing but you know something was. Perhaps it was the fact that the director never fully committed to horror or comedy and ended up missing both a bit. Tig Notaro was a standout star as a minor character that grabbed attention whenever she was in the frame.

Preposterous and pretty insulting treatment of the female lead who is treated like a possession. Will Smirh is good but his character is too unlikable to root for him.

Decent sleek James Bond clone with an unecessarily convoluted time travel plot

Definite promise which was never really achieved. The cast was good, visuals were interesting, great sound. But the plot... im not sure what it was. The film neither resolves by explaining anything about the creature (even like a werewolf or something has some back story) not provides some any kind of compelling psychological explanation. For all the suspense built up in the first half... its just a monster.

Decent indie horror/comedy flick. If you like Evil Dead and Dead Alive (Brain Dead) it's worth a watch.
