Absolutely terrific! Hands down best drama from the past few years. Josh Finan acting is mind-blowing. The script, the acting, the timing, are all outstanding. And just when you're thinking, oh no, another prison drama, you watch this gem of a show and realise that we will never tire of exploring, digging deeper and trying to understand human nature. Humbling.

Loved it! So much I felt compelled to start clapping at the end, people staring in disbelief at my intimate emotional performance. The film tells the story not only through the script, but also the music, the colours, the characters it puts in front of us. A well told story, which avoids what could have been easy to deliver below the belt punches. There are many critics about it being a political film, in terms of political party. I didn't observe that. However, it is indeed political. Taking a position about woman's rights, taking a position about the class system that dominated the judicial system, are political discourses in themselves, which has nothing to do with political parties.

It's been bittersweet to watch this. So relatable as we have all fall in and out of love but watching it happen in slow motion is devastating. Then again, it's life. This series is one about life itself.

Bad script, terrible acting and horrendous soundtrack. That said, such an implausible script that lends itself for some entertainment if you haven't got anything else to do on the evening you decide to watch this.

Wow! This was such an amazing film. Your emotions build up and you feel exactly like Nora by the end of it. I like her, you didn't realise all that was there inside. Loved it.

I chose not to believe the negative reviews but I should have trusted my gut instinct. Silly, implausible plot. I'm now in episode 3 and just curious about who's done it so I will soldier on. No way I will be tricked into series 2. It's more ITV material than BBC. Disappointed.

Amazing scenery and worth watching if anything to discover the beautiful Faroes island landscape. A plot line with lots of potential but the script started dipping in the second and third episode and nosedived in the last two. I couldn't warm to the main police officer although her aide, Anita, was a great supporting actress. The two male characters were not well developed, in what seemed like a waste of two very good actors. They have left the door open for a second series but I'm not counting the days for it. Overall a disappointing offer, particularly when compared with other great Nordic crime or dramas. Strongly recommend State of Happiness. In UK you can catch it on BBC iPlayer.
