First off, the drama is amazing. The genius idea of bringing out stories from popular webtoons deserves an applause for sure. All the characters and their acting - simply commendable. Each and every scene was brought out so beautifully that each episode of 1 hour flew like minutes. Eunwoo, Moon Ga Young and obviously Hwang In Yeop have done a really good job in their respective roles. I don't regret watching and spending time on this drama. For all those who are looking for some great visuals in any drama - go ahead and don't miss this!!
The comedy in between is something which shouldn't be ignored at all! I just couldn't stop laughing during some scenes.
But just one thing - I personally felt that Eunwoo's character Su Ho, could've been slightly more cheerful to show off his absolutely cute smile. And I certainly got the "Do Kyung seok vibes" from My ID. His approach and his "My-eyes-look-cold-but-i'm-warm-only-for-Ju Kyung" attitude seems like a slight repetition from My ID drama. Even the part where the female lead changes her looks (here, through makeup. In My ID, through cosmetic surgery) might seem a little familiar to the audience who loved the DO-RAE couple.
So to conclude, i must say that although there are very less similarities, almost negligible, between True Beauty and My ID (it was only IMO)
But I should definitely mention the ending. I felt it was a bit rushed and confusing in the promo of the last episode. The promo and the ending are honestly quite different. And for those who're part of TeamSeojun, you're hearts will hurt like it never hurt before. I mean, sorry for the spoiler but i couldn't contain myself. I found myself crying so much after learning how wonderful a person Seojun actually is. Its really impossible to find someone like him irl. But it really hurts.
Nevertheless, this drama still remains a must watch to me as the plot, the acting, the cast and obviously the songs are all fabulous. I congratulate the team for such a success. They definitely won the viewers' hearts!!
