Very interesting. My heart goes out to the Cambodian immigrants who suffered immensely (suffering, I can’t even begin to imagine under the murderous Khmer Rouge), but who then got the opportunity to come to America, worked their fingers to the bone, and became extremely successful. I only wish other immigrants (for example, Hispanic), would have the same opportunities. Many of these immigrants are also fleeing murderous circumstances in their countries, but when they get here, are not given the same opportunities as these Cambodian immigrants were given (sponsorship, which included housing, jobs, and green cards). Still, I do applaud Mr. Ngoy for paying it forward, and sponsoring other Cambodian immigrants. Later on, when Mr. Ngoy establishes Republican political alliances, this comes as no surprise, because most millionaires are extremely selfish at heart, with all their focus spent strategizing, to hold onto their money. And when this same greed causes Mr. Ngoy, to squander everything, this is no surprise either. After he loses everything, including family, he is remorseful, vowing to live a humble life. I only hope that he remains that way.
