I've been a BF fan for years. This latest game is a mess, though. BF 4 was outstanding all the way around. I wanted to like this new game on a serious level, but there are too many specialists, it looks like BF wants to look like every other "woke" entertainment company out there, and the gameplay isn't that great. I went to Portal to play BF 2 on the Rush setting, and now that's gone. BF 2 was a good game and I enjoyed playing it in Portal, but now I have to cycle through players own game variants like this is FortNite or something. C'mon Battlefield. You won over a lot of people precisely because you were original, had map destruction, great game play, and were balanced really well. All that is mostly gone, now. With some exceptions. It just isn't the same franchise and 2042 is not an improvement.

I accidentally discovered the Mirror Bible Translations. Purchasing them as quickly as I could, I was wonderfully surprised at the scholarship and the level of context provided. I urge you, if you're considering this, to not allow the naysayers to influence you away from these texts. They rely on the original documents and original languages to provide historical, linguistic and cultural context and well as the original intent communicated in the ancient Greek in particular. These works have been a blessing to me. It's wonderful to discover the power of the cross anew and realize the bold gift that God gave us.
