Its a tad bit derivative. (cant believe i said that). The movie that springs to mind that this reminds me of is, "The Ruins", I think thats the name.
Was it enjoyable, hell yes. If i lived in the midwest, or the great plains, i wouldnt be able to set foot outside, in the tall grass for the next couple of weeks.
It was a fun movie. Just enough of a scare.
