Perhaps I would have been less disappointed in this film if I had not been familiar with the original made in 1973 - this film pales in comparison. The screenplay is monolithic, the direction predictable and transparent the acting somewhat wooden and the Photography totally pedestrian. I wish I could get my 2 hrs back.
